Our Solution: Patient Entry

Creating a new patient is easy. When you click on the “New” button, just select “Patient Chart” and up pops an entry screen. From there, you must enter the patient’s last name, first name, date of birth, sex, and ID/account number. The rest of the fields are optional, and can be accessed and updated later. When you’re finished, just click “save” and the chart is created – no file folders, hole punching, binding, etc.

Note: If a new patient’s last name, first name, and birth date are a close match to an existing patient record, a message saying “A person possibly matching the one you entered has been found. Do you wish to continue saving this entry?” If that happens, you can click “Cancel” and lookup the patient to see if s/he already exists in your system. This helps to virtually eliminate duplicate charts.
