With the Electronic Remittance package, your Medicare EOB is transferred to your system electronically via your modem. You can optionally have Medicare transfer funds directly to your clinic's bank account.

An increasing number of insurance carriers are offering this option.

Electronic Remittance: Automatic Posting of Payments

If an insurance carrier offers Electronic Remittance downloads, the software will automatically post payments, write-offs, rejections, and deductibles against the associated charges. Then, it can transfer any balance to the secondary insurance or patient billing.

An Electronic Remittance Report can then be generated (similar to your paper EOB).

Messages will print regarding EOB requirements, multiple insurance carriers, rejections and Medigap info.

All postings are reflected on the daily journal for tracking purposes.
