Pharmacy Messages
These are messages to the doctor, usually from a patient, requesting a refill for a prescription. The message includes:
Once the operator keys in the message, and hits 'SEND', predetermined workstations are alerted, through a small message box, that a new pharmacy message has been delivered.
Either the sending operator or any receiving operator may then print the message label. The label includes pertinent patient information and a disposition area, where the physician can manually write additional comments.
The chart is then pulled and the label is placed in the chart.
You will also be impressed with how we have automated Patient Messages to make sure that all communications with patients are documented.
